The company
Holden was established in 1986 and has developed from a family run business to now being the country’s largest controlled environment contractor. We’ve achieved this by ongoing investment in talented people, and keeping them at the core of our service delivery. Today our focus is on the design and construction of controlled environments for the food, pharmaceutical and data centre sectors. As part of our continued expansion Holden is seeking a Contracts/Projects Manager join our Projects Team. Your role will be to conduct and manage current and upcoming projects both nationally and internationally, based out of our Cork office.

The role
Your role will be to represent Holden alongside clients, main contractors, architects and engineers on projects of varied scale and complexity. With the support of Holden’s design, commercial and constructions teams you will coordinate projects form award to handover. You will attend pre-start, co-ordination and progress, design team and construction management team meetings. You will coordinate the development and issue of design deliverables such as drawings and technical proposals. You will manage material measurement, purchasing and site installation along with monitoring and observing Health & Safety compliance, quality, productivity and cost control.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in the Construction Industry. You need to be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and issuing reports. You will need to have a good knowledge of Health and Safety as related to the construction industry and building regulations. Construction knowledge is a must. You will need an aptitude for developing construction details, dealing with problems and implementing solutions. You will need to be commercially aware with an understanding of project cost control. Knowledge of Quality & Management Systems and their implementation is desirable. You will be required to work on your own initiative and act as a leader, as and when the need arises. A full clean driving licence is required.
